Will you join us? We will now take a detailed look at what it is all about.

What is Flyboarding?

The
Flyboard
was invented in the fall of 2012. Its creator is Frenchman Franky Zapata, a jet ski racer and winner of several world titles.

It is a sport that combines the power of water propulsion with that of the air, allowing the pilot to propel himself to the surface.

A Flyboard is a hoverboard that is attached to the jet ski by means of a long hose. The sport is commonly known as flyboarding.

The jet ski forces water through a pressurized hose to nozzles attached to the boots that support the rider. These nozzles project high-pressure water jets and, with the pilot’s control, allow you to reach a height of up to 15 meters. It is even possible to dive into the water up to 2.5 meters deep.

What do you need to practice Flyboard?

Flyboarding is a true aquatic adventure in which, more than strength, balance is king.

The vast majority of people who flyboard for the first time manage to keep their balance and rise above the water in less than 5 minutes. In the case of wanting to do some kind of acrobatics, a little more practice and experience is needed.

The most interesting thing is that it is not necessary to be in great physical shape, the most important thing to enjoy this sport is not to be afraid of the water and to have enough balance, since the strength is provided by the jet ski.

Who can’t practice Flyboard?

  • Minors.
  • Pregnant women.
  • People with disabilities or illnesses that do not allow them to dive in the water, such as neck and back problems.

In addition, no alcohol or drugs are allowed in the blood, of course.

What precautionary measures to take?

Flyboarding has been designed with all the necessary safety measures to be enjoyed with absolute peace of mind. And, among other things, it has the advantage of allowing the pilot to rest in the water if desired or needed.

The sport includes a personal flotation device and a helmet to protect against any possible blows, as well as to protect the ears from shocks against the water.

Either way, you can be absolutely calm, because in Malaga Despedidas we have liability insurance that will cover even the smallest damage. In addition to putting at your disposal professional monitors who will watch over your safety at all times and will give you all the necessary instructions so that you can practice Flyboard without any risk.
